The M.F.A. in Nonfiction Program is hosting a webinar on Thursday, September 10, at 7 p.m. EDT with Jill Sisson Quinn, M.F.A. ’08, about her second collection of essays. Jill will talk about writing about nature and the inner landscape — and how essays can combine those two worlds.

Sign Here If You Exist and Other Essays is the winner of the Ohio State University Press Journal Non/Fiction Prize. It’s one of several honors Jill has won for her work, including the Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction, a John Burroughs Nature Essay Award, and a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award. Her work has appeared in Best American Science and Nature Writing 2011, Best American Essays 2016, Orion Magazine, and Kenyon Review. She’s also the author of Deranged: Finding a Sense of Place in the Landscape and in the Lifespan.
