Love of Place: Communicating the Connection Between Wellbeing and Heritage

Guest speaker Chris Jensen, MAHP ’23, will speak about love of place and wellbeing as fundamental aspects of historic preservation. He presents strategies for historic preservationists to engage with the public to emphasize how preservation can enhance emotional wellbeing for individuals and communities.

Chris resides in Salt Lake City with his husband, also named Chris, and their daughter, Ella. He works as a historic preservation consultant and realtor, primarily dedicated to connecting individuals committed to preserving historic buildings. Additionally, Chris enjoys sharing the narratives of Utah's overlooked histories and connecting those communities to place.
