Essays can seem like a tough sell in the literary marketplace but there are many pathways to publication. Join essayist Randon Billings Noble as she discusses ways of shaping and publishing both individual essays and essay collections with a focus on literary journals and independent and university presses.

Randon Billings Noble is an essayist; she is also a member of the faculty in Goucher's M.F.A. in Nonfiction. Her anthology of lyric essays, A Harp in the Stars, was published by the University of Nebraska Press in 2021 and was an Honorable Mention for the Foreword Indies Awards for Essays. Her full-length collection Be with Me Always was published by Nebraska in 2019 and was a Finalist for the Foreword Indies Awards for Essays. She is the founding editor of the online literary magazine After the Art. Her next book, Shade and Shadow, is a lyric meditation on shadows and is forthcoming from Nebraska.
