Join host Jenn da Rosa, EdD, for a conversation with Professor of Data Science Thomas Narock. This webinar, Goucher Environmental Dialogues: AI for Environmental Good, is on Monday, September 21, from 2-3 pm ET. In this webinar, Thomas Narock explores the growing role of artificial intelligence in addressing some of today's most pressing environmental challenges, from climate modeling and biodiversity monitoring to energy efficiency and conservation planning. Join us for a conversation that bridges environmental science, policy, and emerging technology to ask: Can AI be a genuine force for environmental good?
Tom Narock is an Associate Professor of Data Science at Goucher College, where he is a member of the Center for Data, Mathematical, and Computational Sciences. He completed his doctorate in 2012 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Prior to his arrival at Goucher in 2019, Tom taught at Notre Dame of Maryland University and worked as a research scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Tom’s research interests are in data science, machine learning, and their applications in the Earth and space sciences
